Digital Assistant at the Workbench:
without illusions or marketing hype
When diagnosing, keep in mind: VIZO is not a «magic button that fixes the board by itself». The software has no physical probes or eyes. It is a professional digital assistant designed to eliminate routine, structure measurements, and correlate physical board parameters with factory documentation.
The system may propose a questionable hypothesis where an experienced engineer spots the fault immediately. However, it extracts the exact pinout from an 80-page manual in seconds, clearly records test points, and prevents fatigue errors during long repair shifts.
Its true strength lies in instant access to verified technical documentation and visual structuring of physical parameters. The final decision always rests with the human at the bench.
- ✕ Cannot observe what is missing from photos or entered measurements.
- ✕ Does not replace a multimeter, oscilloscope, bench power supply, or thermal camera.
- ✕ Diagnostic precision directly depends on the accuracy of readings entered by the technician.
- ✓ Direct access to manufacturer PDF datasheets and pin-to-pin analogs without web search clutter.
- ✓ Single interactive overlay of all test points and voltages right over the PCB image.
- ✓ Exact computation of PWM start conditions and power sequences from datasheets.
Engineers have no time to type long prompts while holding multimeter probes or a soldering iron. On-board markup solves this in one click: blue callout opens datasheet and pinout, pin records voltage or inputs a part number, yellow arrow tests the node, red evaluates breakdown risks.
Currently in Active Development
Boardview overlay (10+ formats) and forum solution retrieval are already working on your bench. Here are the next concrete engineering milestones:
1. Local SMD Marking Codebook Database
Deterministic lookup engine hosted directly inside VIZO: decoding 2-4 character surface codes (SOT-23, SOD-123, DFN) matched against manufacturer logos.
2. Multi-Agent Zero-Hallucination Arbitration
Automated verification against Ohm's and Kirchhoff's laws, strict passive filtering gates, and cross-validation by an independent forensic agent.
3. Precision Teardown Video Search
Locating teardown footage with precise timestamps for clips, hidden screws, and connectors, bypassing irrelevant content and lengthy introductions.
4. Expanding Datasheet Search Gateways
Integrating accessible Asian distributor catalogs (including LCSC) and open technical documentation repositories alongside the active Mouser and DigiKey integrations.
5. Universal Hardware Support
Circuit principles are universal: extending the platform to automotive ECUs, welding inverters, charging stations, and industrial automation.
Exploratory Concepts (Under Evaluation)
Advanced concepts currently undergoing technical feasibility review. They may be implemented in the future or discarded based on experimental results:
Automated Power Sequence Timeline
Algorithmic extraction of power-rail sequencing diagrams from 100-page PDF schematics into an interactive visual timing graph (VIN → ALW → PGOOD).
Optical Defect AI Inspection
Evaluating neural models to detect micro-cracks in ceramic capacitors (MLCC), burnt package craters, and electrochemical PCB corrosion from macro photos.
Hardware Instrument Telemetry (BLE / USB Link)
Exploring real-time measurement streaming from Bluetooth multimeters and portable oscilloscopes (Owon, Aneng, Fnirsi) straight to virtual board pads.
